Li’l Doggy Salon is a family team of professionalism. We are pleased to offer our extensive experience, talent and personalized customer service in our grooming salon.

Karen, our head groomer, has over 20 yrs experience grooming, showing and breeding top winning dogs. As an owner of a successful international show dog kennel, the Cantner's, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, "Jake", retired after acheiving the #4 ranking in the USA. He was in the Top Ten USA ranking for three years in a row. Imported from England, he was invited to the Eukanuba Classic and won an Award of Merit at Westminster. While showing and traveling, Karen learned grooming under top show world professionals (ie AKC Certified Professional Handlers) and from past employment with several veterinarian offices. She has been asked to write articles in dog publications on several topics. Some of the Cantner's dogs were invited to particiapte in an AKC, national breed club judging seminar. If you ever watch dog shows on television, many of those handlers and judges you see on there know about the Cantner's show dog success, their bloodline and their professionalism. They sold puppies around the world. Some of their dogs even earned championship titles in other countries.

Jaclyn & Jennah have been Karen’s helpers during the show and breeding years. The girls continue their commitment to the dog world by being partners in the Evansville grooming salon. We want your pet to eagerly bounce out of the car into our salon for it’s appointment. We believe that a grooming session should be a very relaxing, enjoyable experience for your pet. So, we focus on Quality, not in Quantity. We feel pretty certain that our environment is less stressful and more pleasant than the competition’s. For example, your pet relaxes in our special “Tranquility Room”, not a cold, smelly, loud, kennel run area packed with numerous other dogs. Music is played, the room has low lighting to help promote a peaceful setting and soft bedding is offered.

More About Our Salon Setting

We understand that you don’t want to show your dog, but you probably want it to LOOK IT’S BEST!

We take great care when selecting the type of equipment we use, how services will be rendered and what retail products we stock. For example, we have a special bathing system that works like a jet spa. It gets the dog cleaner, removes loose hair and imparts a wonderful, relaxing sensation to the dog's muscles. We use quality, salon grade shampoos, conditioners, stain removers and finishing products designed specifically for each dog's individual coat. Trade secrets are used during your pet's groom to get a nice finish. Your pet will be dried using a mild, cool air method versus intense, hot drying methods which are very damaging to the coat. Our method takes longer but is much safer for the dog. Plus, it eliminates frizz and doesn't dry out the skin. Your dog won't itch or shed as much. We are proud to be the first retail store in the Tri-State to carry the entire line of NUTRI SOURCE, PURE VITA and NATURAL PLANET ORGANICS by Tuffy's Pet Foods. This food has been listed in the Whole Dog Journal as a top ranked dog food for four years straight and has never suffered a recall-ever! It is superior nutrition at a very reasonable price, proving that high quality doesn't need to cost a lot of money. Proper nutrition plays a huge role in your pet's fur and skin condition. (ie, shedding, itching, hot spots, "allergy" symptoms, anal gland problems, etc) And, our clients have reported that our brand of cologne lasts up to 2 weeks following the grooming session, even after a rain storm. Now, that's money well spent!

We sterilize our tools and equipment for safety and hygiene. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that is requiring veterinarian attention to ensure other pets are not infected.
